Rosemarried

BRANDING & IDENTITY / NEW MEDIA / USER EXPERIENCE

WHITE PAPER:

Rosemarried is the cooking blog of Portland’s Lindsay Strannigan, a freelance marketing consultant, event planner, writer, and stylist. She describes her style of cooking as “Slow food for fast life”. It’s hard to actually cook wholesome meals in the midst of a hectic schedule, and hers is exactly that; she also serves on the board of the local farmer’s market and hosts the PDX Food Swap. Lindsay brings her readers along as she strives to make food that is simple and attainable, while at the same time is beautiful, celebratory, and seasonally inspired.

Lindsay came to us with the task to create something that captured her story of being a newlywed who loves rosemary, utilized the brand’s inspiration of a working professional who is trying to find balance, and spoke to her audience. We chose a largely organic approach to the branding, and put Illustrator Mark Penxa to work with his pens and brushes. The result is a work that is a spectacular and non-traditional logo. We chose to keep a simplistic and user friendly web experience that utilized the organic elements with modern web standards.

Rosemarried has been featured on The Kitchn, Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, Eyes + Edge, and The Oregonian.
